Shisha Tobacco | 6 Must Have Shisha Flavours In Canada

“What flavours do you recommend?” We hear this all the time from customers purchasing new pipes. In fact I can’t even recall the number of times someone told me they want to try something new as they are sick of smoking Al Fakher shisha tobacco, not that there is anything wrong with most of the brands selection of flavours. It is a tricky question to answer considering the ban on flavoured tobacco in Canada. However, we do have some suggestions for what is fairly accessible in North America.

Since then, we’ve been Canada’s most trusted hookah and accessories vendor. We won’t just take credit for that without any social proof. See for yourself what our valued clients have to say about us and our products through trust index & our own review collection page. Without further ado, here are the 15 reasons why Shisha Nova will make your online shopping experience a breeze!

Note, there’s a large majority of people who discover the Adalya brand and consider it a big upgrade to Al Fakher, and although they do produce some great flavours, they don’t seem to last very long throughout the session before losing their taste. A lot of avid smokers seem to agree. That is why we have compiled a small list of what we believe to be some of the best shisha flavour options that are likely available to you. We avoided a long list so that we can hone in on some great options without making it overwhelming.

For this article, we will also try to avoid specific flavours as everyone will experience taste differently and we’d prefer to leave it for you to decide which flavours to try. A quick google search will find you recommendations on what people have found to work best for them. Keep in mind that every brand will carry low performing flavours. If you order something that doesn’t meet your expectations, try not to let it ruin your perception of that brand. We have customers who have complained about flavours that other customers recommended to them. Unfortunately in this regard taste is subjective and everyone will have a different take on which flavours are “best”.

Must Have

Come on. With a name like this we had to mention it. Many of our Canadian customers who enjoy higher nicotine content tobacco have tried this brand and we’ve heard tons of positive feedback. It isn’t extremely resistant to heat so make sure to pack it with that in mind. Carefully manage your heat when having sessions with this brand of shisha tobacco. For a dark leaf tobacco it is fairly light so be careful not to pack it too densely. We will write a shisha density guide that goes deeper into this topic at a later date. Just be mindful that darker leaf tobacco’s are higher in nicotine content and do require more experience when packing, so if you aren’t familiar with the different densities or want to avoid a high nicotine content, do more research before going out and buying a Must Have shisha flavour.

Element

Element Tobacco originally launched with only dark leaf flavours which quickly became a hit when introduced to North America. The large demand for their flavours in a blonde leaf format led to the company producing that starting just over a year ago. We have personally only tried the dark leaf option so far and it was an amazing experience for everyone here. With that being said, we have seen raved reviews about their blonde leaf option and believe it’s worth a shot.

Heavenleaf Teabacco

Not a tobacco based flavour. Heavenleaf is the best available non tobacco nicotine free option for those only wanting to enjoy shisha for flavour or to use it as a high quality mixer which many do with their peppermint flavour. As the name implies, teabacco is made using tea leaf and natural non artificial flavouring. Although teabacco is tobacco-free the brand has just introduced a new line that produces similar effects to nicotine but through the use of a special botanicals which mimic nicotine effects. This is great for those looking to still catch a buzz!

Starbuzz

Honestly, not a fan but there has always been a lot of buzz around this brand (pun intended) so we decided to add it. More as a warning than a recommendation, hence its exclusion from the options count. The main reason we added it is due to its availability for those of you Canadians struggling to find options in your area. Here is what to expect though: The flavour does not last very long similarly to Adalya but it is good for producing large clouds so consider it as a mixer. Take what you will from this. If you enjoy Starbuzz as many do, please don’t hate us for this, just know there’s more options out there.

Azure

This brand can be a hit or miss for some flavours. It is quite apparent from many people who have tried it and voiced their experience in online reviews. However, it does provide exceptional session durations and maintains its flavour profile throughout. We highly recommend looking into this brand if you haven’t already and finding a flavour that suits your buds. I know we said we weren’t going to list any flavours but their strawberry passion really surpassed our expectations for a strawberry flavour. It mixes very well with their tropical paradise. Azure offers both dark and blonde leaf tobacco’s. Many smokers love to recommend their blonde line.

Trifecta

Available in both dark and blonde leaf, the Trifecta shisha flavour brand creates some exceptional flavour mixes and cuts. Their Peppermint Shake is very popular and a must try. Everyone we have recommended it to has absolutely loved it.

Eternal

Similar to Trifecta in popularity, this brand is known for some really powerful shisha tobacco flavour profiles.

Dark Side

This list originally started as the 5 must have shisha flavours and look at us now. We had to add this for our dark leaf lovers though. The name implies everything you need to know. Just be careful.

There’s more shisha tobacco brands we would love to mention, but unfortunately they do not yet seem to be available in North America. Let us know what topics you want us to cover next time!
