How to use the Alpaca Suri Bowl
When using the Suri Bowl, it is important to pack your bowl using the correct density required by your tobacco or flavor type. This bowl is recommended for dark, medium and blonde leaf tobacco’s (dense, semi sense and fluff packs). To ensure optimal airflow and heat management, it is important to foil and poke as necessary, with two rows of holes recommended along the area over the tobacco. To achieve the best results, we recommend pairing the Alpaca Suri Bowl with an AOT Provost heat management system. Make sure to also use a high quality shisha foil to let the heat seep through slowly. This combination will ensure a smooth and enjoyable smoking experience.
Compared to traditional bowls, the Suri Bowl uses higher quality clays that absorb and release heat in a regulated manner, preventing premature cooking of your flavor. It is most comparable to the Predator and Symphony bowls but without a spire bridge and with a wider spire instead. It has a medium depth when put in-between the other two models. Please note that Alpaca changes sizing and depths of bowls occasionally, meaning information you find elsewhere can seem contradicting to the statements made here. We make sure to update our descriptions as necessary.
How the Alpaca Suri Bowl Has Evolved From Previous Models
The Suri Bowl is a variation of the popular Alpaca Predator Bowl, with the addition of a wider gauge spire that increases airflow and reduces restriction within your draw. This feature sets it apart from previous models and makes it stand out among hookah enthusiasts looking to increase airflow from their bowl.
The Suri Bowl is compatible with all modern hookah pipes, including any traditional style hookah that has a male head receiving port. It is recommended to use smaller sized charcoals with this bowl such as cubettes, flats or bamboo charcoal. Compatible with the AOT Provost. This bowl is not compatible with the Lotus and other similar HMD’s.
Allow the bowl to cool down after your session before washing. Sudden temperature changes can cause cracking. Remove the flavor and then wipe the trench with a wet cloth under running water. Use soap to wash the bowl. Allow to dry. For quick reloading, use an oven glove or thick rag to handle the bowl so that you can pack while it is hot. Take extra caution while doing so.
